It’s (finally) Friday!! The work week is coming to a close and I’m one week closer to my much needed Miami getaway with my #squad. I don’t talk about my 9-5 work life much on the blog (I do data analytics at a consulting firm) but a lot of the outfits I do post are looks that I’ve worn to the office on casual Fridays with a few minor adjustments. Happy Monday everyone! If you’re like me, I’m sure your coffee will be twice as large today because of daylight savings taking away a precious hour of sleep. I could really go for another one of these Americanos from Tip of the Tongue right now. And a donut. Mmmmmm. Sorry, what was I saying? Oh, yes, now I remember. I’m constantly thinking of ways to take my outfits to the next level to get the most out of existing pieces in my wardrobe. I’ve been in a layering mood lately. In my last post, I emphasized how important it was to keep one half of your outfit structured if the other half is more loose or flowy to avoid looking frumpy when layering. Yesterday, my top was loose and my bottoms were structured. Today, I wanted to show you the opposite using one of my other favorite neutral colors, navy blue. (more…)
