Bomb(er) Jacket
Happy Tuesday, lovelies!
This week so far has not gotten off to the best start. Dexter was ill yesterday and the crazy weather has me feeling a little sick too. When I’m not feeling well, the last thing on my mind is what am I going to wear today. That’s when cute basics like a bomber jacket come in handy.
Bomber jackets are great because they’re like moto jackets in the sense that they complete your look and they can literally be worn with everything. The other great thing about them is that they’re so on trend right now that you can find a great one at different price points for any budget. Forever 21, Zara, and ASOS have great styles in various colors, prints, and fabrics. Since I wear black a lot, black was the first color I purchased. I then snagged an olive one with patches that I really like and I think I may get one more in a fun color like red. This particular one set me back about 60 dollars but I wear mine so often that it has paid for itself many times over already. I wear my bomber jacket with jeans and a t-shirt like I did in a previous blog post, with my workout gear since I’m not really a pullover hoodie person, or with cute little t-shirt dresses and sneakers like I did here.
I bought this t-shirt dress about a month ago and it seems like I am constantly wearing it. It’s very versatile and comfortable. I’ve even worn it as a top tucked into a pair of jeans when I couldn’t find a grey shirt that was to my liking one day while getting dressed! Talk about a multi-tasker! It feels and looks like it should be super heavy too but it actually isn’t. It’s got the look and feel of a sweatshirt but it breathes like a t-shirt. Because of that, it keeps me warm enough on those spring days where it seems like the weather changes hourly. NYC is seriously having a seasonal identity crisis and since I’m constantly on the go, my outfits have to be able to roll with the punches too.
Bomb(er) Accessories
Since this is an outfit that I would generally wear when running errands, my accessories are minimal. My work tote has become more of an every day bag for me. To be honest, I’m not a handbag girl so I don’t have very many bags nor do I change my purse often. Also, I’m on the go a lot and I have Dexter with me so I need a bag that can not only hold my essentials but also Dexter’s stuff (toys, treats, and food just in case we’re out past his dinner time). To round out the casual chic look, I am wearing my white sneakers. What is it with me and white shoes lately? I can’t seem to stop wearing them! I’ve been wearing these Adidas sneakers pretty much any chance I get. Also, mine aren’t just your average white pair of Superstars. They’re snake embossed. Like I said before, I’m a sneaker head and sneaker junkies like when their shoes stand out in the crowd. And when I wear these, I’m fresher than a peppermint. *pops collar*
Have a great day!
xoxo, CCB
P.S. Thanks for all of the get well wishes on Instagram yesterday for Dexter. He’s doing much better today!
