Floral For Spring…Groundbreaking
Happy Monday y’all!
Wow, what a week it has been since my last blog post! I worked 5 days straight and 6 of the past 7 days. I was so tired that my tired was tired. When I finally had a day off, I did NOTHING. And when I say nothing, I mean nothing. I slept, ate, slept some more, and rested. It was fan-freaking-tastic. Sometimes you just gotta fall back.
Anyways, now that spring has sort of arrived here in the Bay Area, I decided to bring back one of my favorite floral print dresses that I actually bought last fall from Zara. But now, I actually get to wear it as a dress…yaaaaas! That’s one of my favorite things about shift dresses: they’re super versatile. In the fall and winter months, I tucked it into jeans. This dress was too good to keep in the closet until warmer weather arrived.
When I was trying to figure out which shoes to wear with this floral dress, my mind immediately went to ankle boots. But which ones? I know, #firstworldproblems. I’m blessed to have multiple pairs of black ankle boots to choose from. My sock boots were at the top of the list but I wanted to wear something else. I wear my sock boots a lot so I thought about my beloved Ishtar booties from Louboutin. I don’t wear them often (don’t ask me why) but they’re super comfortable and very special.
This floral dress has a very 1960s retro vibe and so my Chloé-inspired sunglasses were very necessary to complete the look. Also, I like to use my large Cuyana travel case as a clutch sometimes because, why not? It’s leather, roomy, and monogrammed – what’s not to love?! And don’t worry, the small case gets love too. She’s in my everyday bag😉
